Last week I spent a whole day, working on my business. I never done this before and I have been in business for 5 years!
I was in a room full of like minded women, high energy, hot seats, challenging questions but most importantly, I had a reality check.
Sometimes in life, you can become complacent, falling into habits, such as people pleasing, saying yes when you want to say no, feeling like you are walking up hill in a tornado.
I know because it happened to me. I had been in a habit of modelling people, hiding behind masks, buying courses after courses claiming the work is never done.
But in reality, I wasn't putting any of that learning into practice. So what good is it?
Knowledge is power, but only when it's shared. Keeping those skills in my head that I have learned over the years, helps no one, including myself. Imagine you learn how to drive a car, but then never drive...
So I realised last week, that things needed to change for my life and business.
I took a long a hard look at my values and seeing if they still aligned with me, or am I still aligned with them?
I had an honest internal conversation about my choices in life, business and relationships with people. I realised that I still fall into the old habit of people pleasing.
My business and I had a horrible relationship, where I just took advantage of it and used my business for my own needs and wants. Then of course blamed it all on my business, taking zero responsibility for the things that aren't working.
Then I realised that I was sat in my old friend Victim (one of the shadows) about the main parts of my life. That is because I did not take responsibility for my part.
Today I am in gorgeous Warrior (another shadow). I am owning how I am feeling. I am owning what work and what doesn't in my business and life. Today I make a conscious decision to step in to my own power and reclaim it.
Today is when I get real. Today is when I take action and reap the benefits tomorrow.
Today and every day, I check in with myself.
But I couldn't have done this, without mindset work. Without those skills that I have learned over the years. I fell in love with the work so much so, that I am now on a mission to help others to go from survival to thriving in their life and businesses.
Everything starts with YOU...
The day you decide to get real with yourself, shifts starts to happen.
There is no darkness without light and there is no day without night.
